Name Origin

“Rubicon” is a river of the central North region of Italy that ends at the Adriatic Sea to the north of Ariminum (Rimini). Before Christ, the Rubicon River formed the limit between Italy and the Roman province of Cisalpine Gaul.

In the year 49 before Christ, Julio Caesar made his famous crossing of the Rubicon. Because the Roman Senate had prohibited to Julio Caesar to enter Italy with an army, this action initiated the civil war between their forces and those of Pompeya the Great one.

The phrase “to cross Rubicon” means to take a step that jeopardizes a dangerous action.

It is a limit that when it is crossed there is no return back and typically it is an irrevocable commitment.

Once our clients “cross the Rubycom” there is not point of return, they are delighted with our commitment to make them happy.
